i present a theory for the current celebrity death rash.

immagine the ego is a parasite, and the celeb the host. sometimes the ego becomes too large for the celeb to handle. and when faced with a natural death, (farrah fawcett and ed mcmahon) the ego freaks out and lashes out to boost its importance. being only an ego it has limited access to attention getting means. while most egos only react in nondamaging ways to the host (britney spears), some egos only have to option of self annialation. these are usually over inflated and non-sustainable egos (billy mays [over inflated] and michael jackson[non-sustainable]) that react this way. however, this phenomenon has the potential to snowball out of controll. increasing the notatiety of the ego in its death, other "rotten" egos will pounce on the chance to destroy their hosts and acceive imortality in the list of celeb deaths.
